Bernard Russell Field Officer A qualified electrical fitter/mechanic, Bernie began work in the industry in 1994. He worked, in turn, for Powerlink Queensland and two of the major electricity reticulation contractors. Bernie was working as an underground reticulation supervisor when he joined RRA in 2001. Since then, Bernie has filled the role of full-time field officer for our company. His job is to solve construction problems and ensure that construction starts and finishes on time. Bernie understands construction issues, so he is well equipped to bridge the gap between Energex and contractors - both civil and electrical. Our design officers often call on him for practical advice too. Contact Bernie >> Simon Medina Field Officer Simon is one of our two specialist field officers. He is a qualified electrical tradesman and has attended numerous skills extension courses relevant to subdivision development. Before joining RRA, Simon worked for one of the Energex-accredited electrical contractors for 4 years as construction supervisor. Prior to that, he had spent 5 years as project manager for a major electrical contractor, and before that, 5 years as an independent contractor. Simon’s wealth of contracting experience equips him well to work closely with contractors, for mutually beneficial outcomes. He says that his goal is to work with contractors - not against them. In the longer term, this reduces problems and ensures their best prices. Simon’s work is centred on the Sunshine Coast. Contact Simon >> Helen Wodetzki Contract Administrator Helen serves as Contract Administrator. Her main responsibility is to ensure that contractors start and finish on time. She also ensures that developers' bonds are released promptly by Energex. Helen has been employed in the electricity distribution industry since 1997, when she began work with a Sunshine Coast electrical contractor. Helen was responsible for developing and maintaining that company's quality management system. With her intimate knowledge of contractors' operations, Helen is well suited to her present role, which is basically contractor liaison.
